PCDO Leadership Election Process

Your Democratic Club needs you! - Run for the PCDO Executive Board!

PCDO Leadership Elections take place at the annual potluck dinner and leadership election meeting each January. All interested PCDO members are welcomed and encouraged to run for a position on the executive board.

Click here for a list of job descriptions for executive board positions.

The PCDO's nominating committee oversees the nomination and election process, ensuring that there are candidates for each position and presenting a report with candidate information to the membership before the election. The Committee seeks to attract new candidates and diversify the executive board, but it does not recommend candidates. Any member who wants to run for a position will have his or her name listed on the ballot without the prejudice of a nominating committee recommendation (or lack thereof).

Potential candidates should contact the nominating chair Peter Wolanin no later than fifteen days before the annual meeting. If you are thinking about running, the nominating chair or PCDO President will be happy to talk with you and to advise you about potential competition if that will help you make your decision. We hope you consider running!
