PCDO OFA Committee Blood Drive May 16

The PCDO Organizing for America Committee will host a blood drive at the University Medical center at Princeton, 253 Witherspoon Street on May 16 from 9am -2pm.

The University Medical Center at Princeton's Blood Donor Program plays a key role in the care that the hospital provides.  Each year, the hospital transfuses 3,500 units of blood to adults and children.  Their  goal is to collect enough blood through their community based donor program to meet the needs of patients.

The need for blood transfusion support to patients is a never-ending challenge. One unit of blood saves three lives.

Anyone who is 17 years of age and in good health can donate blood. If you are over 70 years of age you need a note from your physician to donate. Sign up for your appointment time and allow for one hour of your time to save lives in the community.

To sign up for a time-slot online visit the OFA website or you can contact Jenny Crumiller and let her know when you want to come in -time slots are in 15 minute increments.
