PRINCETON COMMUNITY DEMOCRATIC ORGANIZATION CANDIDATE ENDORSEMENT MEETING
Candidates for two Township Committee seats:
Casey Lambert, Bernie Miller (Incumbent) and Sue Nemeth
Candidates for three Borough Council seat, including vacancy created by anticipated resignation of Wendy Benchley:
David Goldfarb (Incumbent), Barbara Trelstad (Incumbent) and Kevin Wilkes
Sen. Frank Lautenberg, Rep. Rush Holt and Sheriff Kevin Larkin will be endorsed by acclamation
TENTATIVE SCHEDULE
7:30 - 7:35 Opening Remarks, Announcements
7:35 - 7:50 County, State and Federal Candidates (Freeholders and President were endorsed previously)
7:50 - 8:15 Candidate remarks --up to three minutes each by Township Committee candidates
8:15 - 8:45 Questions from floor: all questions will be written on index cards
8:45 - 9:15 Ballots collected. Borough candidates (all uncontested) will speak while vote is being tallied. Vote by acclamation.
9:15 Results of vote announced
PCDO MEMBERS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN ENDORSEMENT VOTE
Registered Democrats who reside in Princeton Borough or Princeton Township and whose PCDO dues are current as of 3/16/08
GUIDELINES UTILIZED for the ENDORSEMENT MEETING:
- Both Borough and Township members vote in all endorsements.
- Ballots for eligible voters, marked for Borough or Township, will be distributed upon check-in.

Each Township candidate will have up to three (3) minutes to address the organization members
- Written questions on index cards will be taken from audience members at the completion of all presentations and then asked of the candidates by a moderator
- Candidates will not be permitted to ask questions of each other
- Names of candidates will appear on the ballot in alphabetical order

Eligible PCDO members will have the option of voting for up to two candidates or voting for No
- Ballots will be collected and counted immediately after voting. A ballot box will be available during the meeting, beginning at 7:30 p.m. for those who must leave early. Out of courtesy and fairness to the candidates we request that members stay to hear the candidates if possible.
- In order to obtain the endorsement, a candidate will need to obtain both of the following:
1. Majority of PCDO members present and casting a valid ballot
2. 60% of PDCO members who reside in the candidate's home municipality present and casting a valid ballot
- There is no proxy or absentee voting.
